Land at BCN, transfer into the city on your included Barcelona Card, and settle into the central Eixample or Old Town base on foot.
Check your arrival time. From BCN the transfer to a central base is short — roughly 25 to 35 minutes by Aerobus, R2 Nord train or the L9 Sud metro, though L9 needs a line change and can approach 50 minutes end-to-end. Your Barcelona Card covers the airport metro, so validate it and ride in.
BCN (Josep Tarradellas Barcelona-El Prat) to central Barcelona is a short transfer: Aerobus to Placa de Catalunya ~25-35 min; Renfe R2 Nord train ~25-30 min; metro L9 Sud ~32 min but needs a line change (e.g. at Torrassa) to reach the very centre, so end-to-end can approach 50 min. No transfer over an hour is needed for a central stay.
